FUTABILITY

Futability is the solution of the future. My mom came up with this fusion word back in 2015 and it is the combination of the English words Future and Ability.
The word perfectly describes the ability to proactively, flexibly, and thoughtfully respond to the changes and challenges of the future.

IKIGAI

Ikigai is a Japanese concept meaning „a reason for being“ or „a reason to live.“ It represents the intersection of what you love, what you are good at, what the world needs, and what you can be paid for. Originating from Okinawa, Japan, it is believed to contribute to a fulfilling and purposeful life, often associated with well-being and longevity.

LIFE DESIGN

  • Focus:
    Helping young people discover their purpose and values, understand their strengths and passions, and align these with their life goals.
  • Approach:
    Use techniques like visualization exercises, values clarification, mindfulness practices, and personalized coaching sessions. Incorporate storytelling, where participants share their journeys and learn from others’ experiences.
  • Outcomes:
    A clear sense of direction, self-awareness, and a personal vision statement that outlines their desired life path.

CAREER DESIGN

  • Focus:
    Guiding them to identify careers that align with their newly defined life purpose and values.
  • Approach:
    Offer tools for career exploration, skills assessment, resume building, networking strategies, interview preparation, and mentorship programs. Provide real-world experiences such as internships, shadowing opportunities, or interactions with professionals in their chosen fields.
  • Outcomes:
    A personalized career roadmap, with specific steps and actionable plans to enter their desired career path.

BUSINESS DESIGN

  • Focus:
    Empowering those who wish to create their own ventures instead of working for others.
  • Approach:
    Provide foundational knowledge on entrepreneurship, such as business model development, market analysis, financial planning, branding, and digital marketing. Encourage creativity and innovation through workshops, and provide access to a community of aspiring entrepreneurs. Offer mentorship from successful founders and industry experts.
  • Outcomes:
    A validated business idea, a draft business plan, and initial steps towards starting their business (e.g., first customers, minimum viable product).
